01 · Project overview
What was built, and for whom.
GradeCrest is the public website CodeWave built for Gradecrest Insurance Investigators, a Kenyan firm handling insurance investigations, fraud, tracing and litigation support. It presents thirteen services and five client sectors, and routes new matters through a request form designed around the information an investigator needs. Behind the website, Gradecrest runs its investigations on ClaimTrace, CodeWave's investigation management platform.

02 · Business challenge
The problem, as the business experienced it.
Insurers, law firms and lenders choosing an investigator need to see quickly what the firm handles, how it works and how to instruct it, and the firm needs those requests to arrive complete.
An investigation firm sells trust and precision. The website has to read that way, explain a wide catalogue without overwhelming anyone, and turn interest into a request the team can act on.
- Thirteen services that each need their own explanation and search presence
- Clients ranging from insurers and law firms to SACCOs and corporates
- Requests that arrive with the right details about the matter
- Forms that resist spam and abuse without getting in a visitor's way
03 · Our approach
How we got from the problem to the system.
CodeWave built a fast, framework-free PHP website with a page for every service and sector, a structured investigation request form, and the search groundwork to be found for Kenyan investigation queries.
-
01
Structure the catalogue
Organised thirteen services and five sectors so menus, pages, the footer and structured data all come from one source and never drift apart.
-
02
One template per service
Built a shared service template covering when you may need it, what is investigated, the approach, deliverables and FAQs, showing only the sections each service has content for.
-
03
Design the request
Built an investigation request form that captures the client type, investigation type, matter description and preferred response, protected by CSRF checks, a honeypot, timing checks and rate limiting.
-
04
Prepare for search
Wrote unique titles and descriptions for Kenyan search intent, clean URLs, a generated sitemap and structured data for the firm, its services, breadcrumbs and FAQs.
04 · Solution architecture
Layers of the system.
Clients at the top, the core application in the middle, integrations and data underneath. Green marks the integration layer where the system meets the outside world.
